TOCA / GALLERY For the first time in five years Javier Pelaez (Mexico, 1976) in Mexico presented a solo exhibition of his recent work. Sacred Objects The sample is a selection of pieces in which the artist appropriates archetypal images to question its significance as a cultural symbol. Since objects wrapped up formal explorations on the environment, the sample represents an interesting Peláez search in the language of contemporary painting.

TOCA / Gallery is located in a landmark building in the Colonia Roma. The Gallery is dedicated to the representation of internationally established artists as well as to manage the career of a new generation of multidisciplinary artists. His work includes advising on the formation of collections, liaison with museums and institutions, and participation in art fairs in Mexico and abroad. This is the first exhibition presented in the two renovated floors of its headquarters.
